Recipe for disaster
Happy new year, everyone, and welcome to our first post for 2014!! Yeah, yeah, we know, it's about time. LOL Although we have several other blog entries in the works, this one was just crying out to be published.
In her typical attention-whore fashion, Bitter Billie Rubin recently posted the self-serving comment below in the Starved Rock Murders Facebook group. Also true to pathetic form, she posted it more than once and "liked" it herself.
Now Billie would have her fellow Chester Weger groupies believe that she has hit upon some marvelous new insight into his case, but as most halfway literate people could tell her, this is a pretty ancient axiom and has been used countless times in many different contexts, including the second Star Trek film, The Wrath of Khan, where in a tongue-and-cheek manner it was called an "old Klingon proverb."
Posted by Bitter Billie Rubin on Jan. 8, 2014: I was looking for a quote for a friend and came across this. It chilled me to the bone. I do think it rings true of this case.
Revenge is a dish best served cold
We have no idea how this saying is even remotely related to the Starved Rock murders, let alone in what way "it rings true of this case." However, it could be that Billie was thinking about something else entirely when she posted it, such as the revenge fantasy against her arch-nemesis Jack J., of which she no doubt daydreams in her darker moments.
In any event, she then posted (on two different threads, no less) this surprisingly lucid explanation of her new pet phrase:
Old saying from the Mafiosi in Sicily. Tells that the best payback is the one that comes with planning, and that brings the most horrendous pain to your enemies when they are not expecting and are just enjoying the fruits of all the dishonor they brought upon you. One must wait so he can really inflict pain to those who wronged him. Careful planing is necessary so your enemies will suffer terribly, but you won't be harmed by the Law or by your enemies' allies.
There's just one small problem with Billie's dazzling definition: She stole the entire thing from the Urban Dictionary!! That's right -- word for word, right down to the misspelling ("planing") and incorrect capitalization ("Law"). If she had an ounce of integrity (which we all know she does not since she has taken credit for the work of others in the past, "as in" the whole "MacGuffin" rumpus), ol' Billie would've credited her source material, but oh nooooo! That's not how the Sleuthettes roll, is it? LOL
And to make sure no one missed it, she just couldn't resist saying it one more time:
I rest my case. Revenge is a dish best served COLD.
She rests her case? Her case proving what exactly? That she is nuttier than a proverbial pet coon? Or that she is obsessed with the Mafia? Well, here's a news flash, Billie: We require no further proof of either of those suppositions!!

This Billy Rubin aka the Assinator is a very disturbed woman, who tries to pretend that she's still 30 at the ripe age of 70 (which is so sad) and imagines herself being the sexual fantasy of several area lawyers and other "big wigs". She douses those fantasies with alcohol regularly and goes into Mob Mode. She must of wept when the Soprano's went off the air.
lol Soprano-ite!
Really first time I read them I thought it was a joke site. Then I saw the photographs. To bad the families don't or can't sue those jerks.
Something really wrong with people who can do what they do.
